About us
The tern and its history
Our hotel is more than just accommodation – it is a place where history and tradition are lived. The Seeschwalbe has been firmly linked to the coast since the 1930s. It was here that the Braband family of hoteliers began to establish the core values of hospitality that characterize the hotel. Since the beginning of 2023, Max Harras, who is firmly rooted in the North Sea region and has a heart for the hotel industry, has continued this tradition. As your host, he and his team are on hand with advice, tips and anecdotes to make your stay a very special experience.

A day on vacation at the North Sea begins at the Seeschwalbe with a breakfast that appeals to all your senses.
Between 07:00 and 11:00, a selection of sausage and cheese specialties, fresh fruit salads, muesli and fish delicacies straight from the North Sea await you – from salmon to hearty herring salad.
Our three cozy breakfast rooms provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxed start to the day. Whether you’re an early riser or a late riser, you’ll find the ideal moment to start the day – at your own pace.

Alexander von Humboldt” bar
Our quaint hotel bar, which we named after the famous explorer, is a real gem for lovers of the coastal atmosphere. Surrounded by lovingly collected maritime treasures – from ships in bottles to unique figureheads – you can enjoy a drink here in a cozy atmosphere from Tuesday to Saturday from 6 pm. Every corner tells a story about the North Sea, so a visit here quickly becomes a short journey back in time to the world of seafaring. This is the perfect place to end the evening in good company.
